Ruby Deshabille

Well hello there Blogguys and Blogettes!

It's a really exciting day for me today, because today is my Birthday. 

Not my actual birthday you see, but the birth of my Burlesque Alter Ego ... Victoria Sponge. 

I have been dabbling with burlesque for 3 years now, and have finally taken the plunge to become a real showgirl. 

I have been going through the Burlesque Starlet training programme with Burlesque Baby for about a year now. I have learnt the basics of the bump and grind moves, posture and props, fan dancing and striptease from the lovely Ruby Deshabille. 

On Monday, I started Level 3 of the course with the sultry Indiana Belle and the homework was: 

• To decide on your Burlesque name. 
• To create a mood board of your character. 
• To chose a song appropriate for your character and create a story line for it. 

And so Victoria Sponge was born! 

Why? I love cake and Victoria Sponge is the naughty little classic, which delights again and again.
